A Home for Research
Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Shodh Pratisthan is BVM's dedicated research institute, founded to anchor the heritage research work described on our history page — a manuscript and reference collection built up over decades, and made available to scholars working on Indian culture, language and philosophy.
Since its founding, well over 225 researchers pursuing a PhD or D.Litt have drawn on its holdings, among them Dr. Namvar Singh and Dr. Hiralal Maheshwari. The institute's own journal, Vaichariki, grew directly out of this research work — first published in 1971 as a quarterly, and running bi-monthly since BVM's publishing division moved to Kolkata in 2010.

A Growing Catalogue
With BVM's publishing work now based in Kolkata under the Simplex Infrastructures partnership, the institute's research has continued to reach print — new titles on Indian culture, Rajasthani literature and applied research sit alongside the original Bikaner-era catalogue.
